PepsiCo to grab Lebedyansky.

PepsiCo, the worlds leading juice manufacturer, is to acquire 76.1% of Lebedyansky, the leader on the Russian juice market. According to preliminary data, the transaction price could amount to some $1.5-2 bln.

Rumors about the Russian companys possible takeover by PepsiCo appeared on the market two months ago. Details of the transaction remain unknown even now. Parameters of the deal will be officially announced this autumn.

As of 1:50 pm Moscow time Lebedyansky gained a whopping 5.133% to Rub 2,559.98 on MICEX amid a sharp increase in volumes.
